We strive to provide a Christ-centered education that leads students into lives of service to God. This is facilitated by inspiring worship, stimulating bible classes, and an atmosphere filled with opportunities to put spiritual learning into practice. Students participate in a variety of spiritual outreach opportunities, such as a week of prayer, Bible labs, and Bible studies.
Spiritual Growth
College Preparation
At BMA, students are offered the chance to develop vocational ethics and essential skills through various labs, enhancing their employability. Central to this is the Vocational Education program, which aims to foster an appreciation for work and instill good work habits. BMA's policy includes providing two daily periods for VOED, with evaluations conducted quarterly.
Along with the standard secondary education classes, we also offer a variety of classes that are not found in a typical high school - from inspiring religion classes to specialty elective classes such as aviation, auto tech, sacred music, and technology. We also offer Dual enrollment classes/Vocational education/standard and advanced studies diploma/general and college preparatory.
Academic Excellence
Discover the joy of sharing a living space with friends from the United States or from across the globe, in a safe and welcoming environment that promotes spiritual, academic, and social growth.
Global Perspective
BMA has a rich history of upholding the traditional Christian values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since its founding in 1955.
Values-Driven Community
Diverse Extracurriculars
We have three touring groups that share their talents with the community: Aerial Aires (gymnastics team), Bel Canto (select choir), and La Sonnette Ensemble (handbell choir). These groups have the opportunity to tour not only the United States but other countries as well.

How does Blue Mountain Academy handle transportation for students during the school year?
Local Area Transportation: Transportation for medical purposes will be charged, as the academy must employ someone specifically to make the trip. Transportation for nonmedical purposes, if available, needs to be paid at the time of service. Destination charges vary and are posted on the BMA website.
Break Transportation: BMA will provide transportation to limited destinations, subject to a sufficient number of passengers. Students are required to sign up and pay in advance. Transportation schedules and fees are announced two weeks prior to each break.
GPA Requirements to enroll
All new students entering BMA and current students returning to BMA will need a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to enroll.
Where can students purchase personal items like toiletries and school supplies while attending Blue Mountain Academy?
Students are provided various opportunities to purchase needed supplies. Trips to Walmart are provided most Sundays, as the schedule allows. Each dorm has a store that sells essential items for dorm life. In addition, the BMA Health Food Store, located on campus is open most days
What is the residential life experience like for students at Blue Mountain Academy?
Through our doors each year pass young boys and girls, many away from home for the first time. Some come from homes that have prepared them well, while others do not. It is our hope that when each one exits those same doors for the last time on graduation day, they leave as young, Christian gentlemen and ladies, better suited academically, spiritually, and socially for life.
To this end, we believe that the education of our students does not end outside the classroom. Within the dormitory, the educational process continues in the spiritual and social realm. It is our goal to instruct young boys and girls in acceptable Christian standards: social skills, hygiene (body, clothing, living environment), proper dress, work ethics, attitude, respect, and decorum — attributes that shape individuals into well-rounded members of society and uphold the values of Christian virtue.
What dietary options are available for students at the cafeteria of Blue Mountain Academy?
Our dietary options include Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Lactose Intolerance, and Nut-Free. We offer a wide array of diverse cuisines that showcase a range of culinary cultures.
What is the policy regarding student phone usage at Blue Mountain Academy?
BMA maintains a campus environment aligned with the Seventh-day Adventist Church's philosophy. We emphasize training students to be in the world but not of it, teaching them to make wise technological choices. All students must adhere to the PMD (Personal Media Devices) policy, which requires registration of personal electronic devices (PMDs). Day students store their PMDs in designated areas while dorm students keep them in their rooms. The policy prohibits cyber-bullying, sexting, and harassment. Students may use PMDs outdoors, during recreation, and in dorms before study hall, but not in restricted areas like classrooms, the cafeteria, or during religious services. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including loss of PMD privileges. BMA is not liable for any damage to PMDs.
